General wellness massage and self-massage - a technique of implementation. Gem massage start

They learn the art of massage in the same way as any other skill, such as playing a musical instrument. At first this may seem difficult, but gradually gaining experience and practicing, you will understand that everything is not so difficult.   The more you learn massage, the faster you will improve your skills.

Before you begin practical training, study the main groups and techniques of massage movements: for example, in the group of striking movements, the method of striking is distinguished, in the group of kneading movements, the method of kneading or pressing. Then learn the name of each technique and the necessary movement to complete it.

Massage movementsdiffer in execution technique: some are easier, others are more complicated.

Each time you learn in practice a new movement, perform it in several stages, as if expanding it into a series of consecutive steps. Practice each step on the mannequin until you are sure that you are doing everything correctly, and then combine them to complete the full movement. In massage courses, the material is structured to help you follow this step-by-step method, and is accompanied by instructions for each massage movement. Once you have mastered the technique of movement perfectly, you can already focus on optimizing the speed, depth and rhythm of the movement.

Remember: regularly practicing, you develop strength and sleight of hand.

You need to have sufficient knowledge to explain the benefits of massage to patients.

The work of a massage therapist is directly related to health  and safety rules. Compliance with them will help you, your colleagues and patients to avoid trouble. Below are the main criteria that regulate the activities of a massage therapist, such as sanitary and hygienic requirements for the organization of a workplace, as well as instructions for observing fire safety measures and providing first aid.

Hygiene requirements include compliance with the necessary safety measures to prevent the spread of possible infections. Remember that a massage therapist should always have a neat appearance: a clean robe, trimmed nails and cleanly washed hands before and after each massage session.

At the massage venue, clean sheets and towels are required for each patient. The patient must observe personal hygiene: take a shower before a massage, or at least wash those parts of the body that will be massaged. Remind him that before starting the course it is important to undergo a medical examination and report any contraindications identified.

To build a warm and trusting relationship with any patient, the massage therapist must be sociable, attentive and considerate. It is better to keep a record and a detailed description of each consultation in a special journal and, before starting a massage session, obtain written consent from the patient. After that, create the best conditions for massage.

Is it worth recalling that every massage therapist must know the human anatomy and physiology well in order to have a clear idea of \u200b\u200bthe effect of massage on the body.

By studying the anatomy of a particular part of the body, you can consolidate knowledge during practical exercises. For example, in order to better imagine the structure of a person’s skin, during massage, try to slightly pull the skin and mentally make an incision on it.

Under the skin is the subcutaneous layer:  What is he like?

Underneath are the muscles:  can you give them a name and tell how they work?

Under the muscles - bones and joints:  can you name each bone and joint?

Massaging your leg, remember its structure and mentally say:

The name of the bones and joints of the leg.

The name of each muscle. Note where the softest parts are, which can be massaged with more force and which are easier to knead, twist and relax than the more muscular parts. The name and location of the lymph nodes.

Massage usually does not affect the movement of blood in the arteriessince it is regulated by heart contractions, although in some cases a slight increase in blood pressure may occur during massage. But the blood circulation in the superficial veins rises and the lymph accelerates through the lymphatic vessels.

Take a look at the anatomy textbook before and after the massage. It is much more efficient to work by linking theory with practice.

Assessing the work, you will be required to name, determine the position and action of specific superficial muscles.

You definitely need to know what function this or that part of the body performs and how massage will affect it.

When studying an anatomy course, read the notes, insert your own notes on key points, ask yourself questions and test yourself by answering them.

In the article, we will talk about how to do massage correctly. Many are interested in this issue, but do not know where to look for detailed and correct information. The article is written for educational purposes, so it is better to take special courses and get important knowledge from the lips of professionals. We will consider the main points and pay attention to massage of different parts of the body.

Short story

Let's start with a short story. So, researchers still can not come to a common point of view about where and when massage originated. It is impossible to attribute it to the “inventions” of a certain people, since all over the world these techniques have developed almost simultaneously. There is evidence that people from the islands of the Pacific Ocean used massage techniques, which means that they were accessible to primitive peoples. The most widely used massage was in Indonesia, where it was used for local or general treatment. The soldiers of Rome used various methods of physical impact on the body after the battles, so that there would be no bruising and other traces. In ancient China, there were schools for doctors in which massage was one of the necessary subjects for studying. Mention is also found in the medical writings of Hippocrates and Avicenna.

When Christianity came, people forgot how to massage properly, because this technique was considered pagan and was eradicated in every way. It must be said that for a long time after these events, massage was not considered a discipline deserving special scientific knowledge.

Later it was developed by such scientists and doctors as Peter-Heinrich Ling, Professor Mozengeil, etc.

rules

So, how to massage? For this, it is necessary not only to master all the techniques perfectly and to know when each of them is appropriate, but also to know the rules that lay the foundation for massage. Consider the basic rules:

  1. All movements should be directed towards the lymphatic tract. For example, the back should be massaged from the spine to the sides, the chest - from the abdomen to the armpit, the hips - from the knees to the groin. With the stomach work only clockwise.
  2. The nipples and the area of \u200b\u200bthe lymph nodes are never massaged in either men or women.
  3. For massage to be as effective as possible, all muscles must be relaxed.
  4. Each reception is repeated from 5 to 8 times.
  5. The rule of alternating aggressive and calm tricks.
  6. During exposure, pain should not occur. The force of pressing the muscle should correspond to its tone.
  7. You can carry out the procedure through a cloth or underwear, but a greater effect will be when working with a naked body. In this case, the air temperature should not be lower than 20 degrees.
  8. In order to stimulate blood circulation, massage begins with large parts of the body. In addition, this contributes to the pumping of lymph from the limbs.
  9. Before the start of the session, a person should take a shower or wipe with a damp towel. Various oils are used to improve the sliding of hands, as well as to relax a person. In this case, powders can be used if the hands of the masseur are sweating, and the patient has too much hair.
  10. A professional should work exclusively with clean hands. They should not have bracelets, rings, etc. It is preferable to work with two hands so that the load is uniform. In this case, the patient's body should be at a suitable height.
  11. Separately, the rhythm and pace of movement should be selected depending on what the goal is for the masseur. Active movements tone the nervous system, moderate in intensity harmonize and balance, and weak and slow have a relaxing and calming effect.
  12. The transition between exposure techniques should be smooth, but without pauses.

We examined the basic rules that guide every professional.

Receptions

Knowing how to properly massage based on the basics, let's talk about exposure techniques. There are few of them, but each can be decomposed into a few more subspecies. We, by tradition, will consider the most important thing to understand how to properly massage at home.

Each person, doing massage unprofessionally, in one way or another, uses the accepted techniques. There are 8 of them, of which 2 are auxiliary. The latter are used as an additional lever of influence to weaken or enhance the effect of the basic techniques.

The first trick we'll look at is stroking. It begins and ends the procedure. The procedure is carried out with light hand movements. In order to correctly perform the reception, four fingers must be tightly closed, and the large one is set aside to the maximum. You also need to know that stroking can be spiral, rectilinear and combined. The spiral effect relaxes the person as much as possible, and the combined movements contribute to the removal of physical and mental stress. Moreover, during stroking, the dead layer of the epidermis is removed, skin respiration, skin tone and elasticity are improved, the outflow of venous blood and lymph is enhanced, nervous tension passes, pain and cramps go away.

The second method is squeezing, which is carried out using the edges of the palm. The fingers are slightly bent and located across the massaged area. To enhance the effect, the hands are stacked on top of each other. There is already an effect not only on the skin, but also on fatty tissue, the surface layer of muscles and connective tissues. Using the technique removes edema, improves metabolic processes in tissues. In this case, the body comes in tone, the central nervous system is stimulated. Such a massage is often used by athletes before important competitions.

The third technique is kneading. He is in the main massage, so almost half of the time is given to him. In this case, the muscle is either fixed, or stretched, and after it is flexed. Reception has a strong effect on the subcutaneous tissue and the human muscle system. The metabolism is enhanced, which contributes to the growth of muscle tissue. Reception has a tonic effect.

Soothing tricks

Shaking is a technique that is used only in case of maximum muscle relaxation. It relieves stress, calms the nervous system, stimulates the outflow of blood and lymph, perfectly fights muscle fatigue, helps restore strength. For all these properties we are very fond of athletes.

Rubbing is a technique used in almost all types of massage. It allows you to relieve pain and restore the functionality of the joints after injuries or overloads. Strongly affects tendons, ligaments, joints and fascia. Reception significantly increases the mobility of the joints, prevents the occurrence of deposits. Professionals prefer circular and rectilinear grinding, which are performed with the fingertips.

So, now we know exactly how to massage properly, using the basic techniques for influencing the human body.

Healing movements

There are three types of medical movements:

  1. Conducted with resistance, when the massage therapist has to overcome the patient’s light conscious resistance.
  2. Passive movements performed in the most relaxed state with maximum amplitude. Such movements increase muscle elasticity, their performance.
  3. Active movements that activate the nervous system and contribute to the restoration and strengthening of the muscular system. They can be performed independently.

Face

How to massage a child?

The main rule is to entrust this procedure to a professional. It is much more difficult for an adult to harm, as his body is shaped and strong. Children's bones and joints are too sensitive, so one wrong move can be harmful. Parents who do the massage themselves take special courses or receive complete information from a doctor who allows independent exercise. Acting intuitively or according to information from unverified sources is the same as putting experience on your child.

On the other hand, there is not always a desire to visit a professional massage therapist. Perhaps there is no need for deep massage. At the same time, I want to relax without leaving home. Mastering the basics of massage technology is easy. The effect of such a massage will certainly be far from a professional option. But as a light version at home, it is quite effective.

Basic rules for back massage at home

  1. Massage is the alternation of certain techniques in a given sequence.
  2. Each massage is fully repeated at least 3 times.
  3. Massage is done without pauses, including a change of techniques.
  4. Back muscles are massaged, not the spine.
  5. In the neck and the beginning of the thoracic spine (C4-D2), the applied force is reduced.
  6. The same applies to the kidneys and the heart.
  7. The direction of massage is from the lumbar up to the shoulders and neck.
  8. Massage should not be painful. If pain is present, it is necessary to reduce the applied force or stop the procedure.

Fast rhythm (more than 60 movements per minute) has a stimulating effect.
  A slow rhythm (up to 30 movements per minute) relaxes the nervous system.

Contraindicated in:

  • chronic diseases of the heart and lungs
  • inflammatory processes
  • elevated temperature
  • massaged skin lesions

Training

Before doing back massage at home, it is necessary to carry out pre-massage measures, including preparation of the room, massage therapist and massaged.

Massage is done in a darkened room with an air temperature of 21-23 ° C.

Hands of the masseur should be clean with clipped nails.

The massaged should take a shower before starting.

If possible, massage is carried out without the use of creams and oils. However, they should be kept at hand in case if, without additional wetting, movements are perceived as not comfortable.

Pose during the procedure: lying not on the stomach. The head does not turn to the side and is in its usual position when we look forward. To do this, a pillow is placed under the forehead. Pillows are also placed under the chest and stomach. The purpose of the pillows in this case is to absorb the force that can cause discomfort without them. Hands lie along the body, slightly bent at the elbows.

1. Stroking

The simplest technique is stroking.

  • Spend in a slow rhythm.
  • Stroking does not require much effort.
  • Hands should slide on the skin without moving it.
  • The degree of pressure should be changed when sliding: reinforce in more dense areas, reduce it in the opposite.

  On the accompanying photos you can see the correct position of the hands when back massage at home.

Superficial

Superficial stroking - the most soft, massage begins with it.  It calms and relaxes, prepares the body for further manipulations. The palms are straight, moving from the lower back to the shoulder blades and shoulders, descend down the sides and then repeat again.

Flat

After superficial reception, they switch to planar. The position of the hands is the same, the pressure force and the variability of movements increase. It can be performed with either one or two hands. The general motion vector is directed up. Movements can be spiral, circular, along or across the back.

Deep

Deep stroking logically continues flat. It differs by giving extra effort by applying a masseur one hand on the other. The same movements are made in the same direction, with varying degrees of pressure.

Breathtaking

Reception, the final block stroking. It is performed with both hands with the thumb laid to the side and connected together by the rest. The brush covers the back from the spine in the opposite direction from it. Glide up without excessive force.
  Without pausing, go to the next block of techniques.

2. Rubbing

In contrast to stroking during rubbing, the hands never slide on the skin, but they always displace and shift it relative to the underlying tissues. It leads to increased metabolic processes and heating, improves elasticity and muscle mobility.

  • Grinding is carried out vigorously (60 or more movements per minute).
  • It takes place in any direction.
  • Delays in one place for more than 10 seconds are not allowed.
  • They are performed with fingers bent in the phalanges with support on the thumb or on the base of the hand.

Circular

It is carried out by the terminal phalanges of the fingers by circular displacement of the skin. By changing the angle between the fingers and the back, you can increase or decrease the pressure force.  Also for this purpose weights are applied with the second hand.

Comb-like

More kneading method. It is performed by the second phalanx of bent fingers resting on the thumb. The displacement of the skin can be circular or spiral. If there are grounds for this, it can be carried out with weights. After finishing and before proceeding to sawing, we do several stroking techniques.

Sawing

Rubbing in the course of its execution keeps increasing dynamics. Sawing is an intensive mode of action on the skin, preparing for subsequent kneading. Straight hands are parallel to each other at a distance of 2-3 cm. The skin between the palms forms a roller. Sawing is carried out in different directions with both palms at the same time. Provides excellent skin warming.

3. Kneading

Kneading is the main component of massage, for which rubbing and stroking was carried out. In terms of muscle content, kneading is a simulation of physical work in its passive form.

Schematically kneading can be divided into three consecutive components:

  1. Fixing the palms on the massaged area
  2. Squeezing skin with both palms
  3. Rolling, crushing
  • The pace of massage is up to 60 movements per minute.
  • Avoid slipping hands and pinching the skin with your fingers.
  • The method of making movements is smooth.
  • It is carried out in any direction from tendons to muscles.
  • Consistently without jumping from one section to another.
  • To maintain the effect, it is necessary to increase the intensity of kneading with each procedure.

Longitudinal kneading is carried out along the muscle fibers. The brushes make unidirectional movements, moving along the axis of the muscle.

Pepper kneading is a more used back massage technique at home. Thumbs are placed on one side of the flexed muscle, the rest on the other. The brushes are located at a distance from the palm of one another. Displacement (rolling, crushing) is carried out in different directions: with one hand - towards yourself, with the other - from yourself.

It is possible to carry out a weighted version with one hand with the help of a second hand.

4. Vibration

Small amplitude vibration has a significant parasympathetic effect, slowing down the heart rate and lowering blood pressure. It consists in inflicting intermittent strokes with the fingertips, palm edge, back of the fingers, fist.

  • Avoid in the heart and kidneys.
  • On one site should not last more than 10 seconds.
  • The strength of the effect depends on the angle between the contacting surface of the hand and the back of the person being massaged: the greatest effect is achieved with a right angle.
  • When using both hands, strokes are applied alternately.
  • It is carried out due to the energy of the brush, the elbow bend is not involved.

Chopping

It is carried out by the edge of the palm along the muscles with both hands alternately. The distance between the palms is 3 cm. The tempo of movement is fast (about 100 beats per minute).

Bobbing

It is done with a clenched fist or the back of the brush.

Pat

Blows are made by the front side of the palm with fingers connected to each other in the form of a “boat”. An air cushion formed between the back and palm prevents the unpleasant sensations of the massaged person without affecting the effectiveness of the effect.

Spot

It is made by phalanges of bent fingers. The movements are like beating the shot on the drums. It does not have a lot of tension. It requires intensity. Ends the vibration block and the active phase of the massage.

Completion

The massage cycle ends with what it started - stroking, which soothe the heated skin of the back, normalize blood circulation and lymph flow, return consciousness to the surrounding reality.

Classical massage is an excellent way to treat and prevent many diseases. With the help of the correct implementation of the basic techniques, you can get rid of pain, adhesions, edema, activate blood circulation, eliminate cosmetic ailments, and normalize the process of tissue regeneration. You can restore vitality, working capacity and strengthen joints without taking medications.

Basic principles

Classical massage originated in the nineteenth century, its basic principles were developed by Russian clinicians. For massage, movements should be soft, capturing a large surface. In the middle of the massage, the force of influence on the area should increase, and at the end, soft stroking movements are again required. It is this effect on the human body that provides the best blood supply for all layers of tissues.

The main rule during classical massage is to do massage movements in the direction of the lymphatic paths, from the periphery to the lymph node. A classic massage begins with warming the body, and then gradually begin to massage small areas.

With classical massage, techniques are performed that have both mechanical and reflex effects on the human body.

They use classic massage with a prophylactic purpose against a wide variety of diseases, to preserve their working capacity for a long time, and to improve the overall health of the body.

With a classic massage, the back, legs, arms, chest and other parts of the body are massaged.

Classical massage allows the patient to feel freshness and get excellent health. And the reason for this is the improved functioning of all organs of the body and the cessation of tension in the muscles.

An experienced massage therapist will return all the muscles of the patient to their proper tone, producing a classic massage. With this type of massage, the patient completely relaxes, and the massage, stimulating the blood circulation processes, returns the patient to full life activity.

Classical massage removes toxins from the body, breaks down fats and activates the metabolism of substances in the body. In this case, the skin condition improves significantly, the muscles become more elastic literally after several massage sessions.

Since classical massage activates the natural abilities of the human body, this makes it possible to restore the work of internal organs.

Also, classic massage helps with joint diseases. In addition, with the help of classical massage, diseases of the nervous system and digestive system can be cured, this type of massage helps to improve the respiratory process, it corrects the problems of the musculoskeletal system.

Classical massage helps to recover much faster after injuries; it helps the patient with increased stress on the body and mind.

Classic massage technique

1. Any massage always starts with stroking. It should be performed with the palm of your hand with constant pressure of low intensity, and the movements of the massage therapist’s hand are directed towards the nearest large lymph nodes. The main purpose of stroking is to warm the skin and subcutaneous structures, to prepare them for more intensive methods of exposure.

2. After stroking, rubbing follows - performed by the palm, knuckles, thumbs or edge of the palm. Rubbing is performed with tangible pressure on the skin of the person being massaged at the threshold of pain sensitivity, the goal is to affect the skin and deep tissues.

There are many options for implementing this technique - superficial and deep, forceps and spirals, comb-like and with pressure with two hands.

3. After grinding, we proceed to kneading. In principle, this technique in the case of therapeutic and sports massage of the back, limbs and collar zone can be called the main in terms of depth and intensity of exposure. Our task is to capture and stretch deeply located muscles and tissues with our hands, increase their mobility, improve venous blood outflow and lymphatic drainage.

Kneading is a difficult technique, it is impossible to learn remotely, because the massage therapist must determine the state of muscle fibers with the fingertips. Kneading should be done on relaxed muscles, and in the case when they are tense, it is worthwhile to achieve relaxation by stroking and rubbing.

4. Vibration - the last method of the main phase of massage. It is performed by shaking, striking and patting the body of the massaged. The goal is the stimulation of the neuromuscular apparatus and deep receptors, strengthening the processes of blood supply to tissues.

Massage sequence

For an effective massage, and to achieve the desired therapeutic effect, it is imperative to follow the sequence of massage movements

  • back
  • back surface of the left leg
  • back surface of the right leg
  • patient rolls over
  • front surface of the right leg
  • front surface of the left leg
  • left hand
  • right hand
  • stomach
  • cervical collar zone
  • head

This order is the standard by which massage procedures should be performed. But in any case, the time you spend on each part of the body depends solely on the individual needs of the individual patient. Most importantly, you need to observe that the massage affects all areas of the body, and allocate an equal amount of time to the right and left parts: it means that the right leg must be massaged in exactly the same way as the left. The same goes for hands. The patient should not have the feeling that some part of the body was not properly processed.

Classical facial massage - technique

The duration of one session is from 5 to 15 minutes, which is determined mainly by the thickness and sensitivity of the skin. The thinner the fabric, the less time it takes to massage. Usually, a course of 15 or 50 sessions is prescribed, between which an interval of 1 to 2 days should be observed. But, the number of procedures that can be carried out at home alone, no one will limit. You can do them, for example, after a bath, before going to bed.

rules

The main thing is not to harm your skin, you must follow the rules of massage:

  • conduct a session only on cleaned and warmed skin, with warm hands;
  • only gentle and gentle movements - no strong pressures, pulls, jerks, twists and the like;
  • you can direct your palms strictly along the massage lines, ingenuity is not needed here; - it is necessary to use oil or cream to lubricate the skin.

Massage lines

Movements can be made in the following directions:

  • from the corners of the mouth to the earlobe;
  • from the middle of the chin around the circumference of the lower jaw - to the earlobe;
  • from the bottom of the wings of the nose to the top of the auricle;
  • from the upper part of the wings of the nose to the upper part of the ear;
  • along the lower edge of the orbit, from the outer corner of the upper eyelid to the inner;
  • under the eyebrow, from a point above the inner corner of the eye - to the outer corner;
  • from the base of the nose, above the eyebrows, to the temples;
  • from the same point above the superciliary arches and temples;
  • from the base of the nose up to the hairline;
  • the base of the nose is its tip;
  • from the back of the nose along its lateral surfaces to the cheek.

The effects of classic facial massage

Regular facial massage allows you to:

  • prevent wrinkles;
  • increase skin tone;
  • improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage;
  • increase eye shape and lip volume;
  • tighten the skin of the forehead, cheeks and chin;
  • remove swelling from the eyes;
  • significantly rejuvenate the skin of the face;
  • improve the condition of the teeth;
  • improve eyesight;
  • improve complexion;
  • warm up the muscles, while making the skin and muscles soft and sensitive.

Contraindications

Despite the fact that the classical massage technique has a pronounced therapeutic effect, classical massage has a number of contraindications:

  • Acute inflammatory processes
  • Skin diseases
  • Blood diseases
  • Purulent processes
  • Lymphatic system inflammation
  • Neoplasms of various origins
  • Pulmonary, cardiac, renal failure
  • HIV disease

1. To provide the patient with a comfortable position (if possible, provide him with pillows and the like).

2. Concentrate and fine-tune the mind only for massage.

3. Create a defense (“Everything stays there or returns to where it came from”) by connecting the imagination (light cover, a lying figure eight).

4. To penetrate into the world of feelings of the person being massaged (for example, by leveling the rhythm of breathing).

Posture and position

Depending on whether the patient is lying on the floor or on a massage ottoman, we will massage him while sitting or standing. In both cases, it is important that we ourselves occupy a comfortable position in which we can always straighten up and bend down without any effort. When working on the floor, it all depends on whether you are sitting correctly, during massage on the ottoman - on its height and installation (stable, but easily rearranged ottomans are therefore preferable). How to sit, pose and position will be discussed in the chapters devoted to certain types of massage with precious stones. In any case, we will get an advantage if we start the massage, taking a position in the center, so as to be able to return to its original position again.

Check therefore at the very beginning: do you occupy a position in which you can stay for a long time. Of course, some positions during the massage initially seem unusual, but something can be improved by correcting the position of the body, and this saves a lot of energy!

Massage technique

The special massage technique - hand grabbing, special movements and the use of stones - of course, differs significantly in the types of massage presented, depending on what areas they are affecting. In general, however, it should be said that many methods are less tiring and more enjoyable if we enable our entire body to participate in them. Try to complete, in addition, a small exercise: Sit at the table and push two thumbs on the edge of the table. Do this first, using the strength of your arms and tightening your muscles. The movement will be like a jerk and will respond in your body. A significant flow of energy will not arise, and you will soon tire. Now push your thumbs on the edge of the table, moving the weight of the whole body back and forth. The muscles of the arms only hold, but they themselves do not exert pressure. In addition, the movement becomes more harmonious, the pressure gradually increases and decreases, a flow of energy also arises in you, which practically does not create tension. Isn’t the difference tangible?

Do we massage with very gentle movements, as, for example, during an energy massage of the body, or press our hands hard enough, as during massage using a ball, we always need to try to ensure that the movement comes from the whole body, and during tilts forward and backward use gravity.

And this applies not only to massage! In everyday life, movements of this type will help us avoid fatigue, tension, pain and many ailments. If we additionally coordinate movement and breathing, we will feel even easier and better. Exhale while moving, especially when you press, grab, or start moving. Thus, you will get rid, for example, of pain in the spine or even be able to easily open tightly screwed plugs! During the massage you, thanks to this, will save a lot of energy and the whole process will be perceived as more pleasant. Inhale when you let go or interrupt your movement.

Although not every massage technique allows this, only one where there are rhythms of "grabbing" and "letting go" (but let them also be gentle), this breathing rhythm is a big help. After the habit is formed, breathing carried out in this way happens on its own (even in ordinary life).

Attention!

When we massage someone for the first time, the massage technique requires a lot of attention. This is completely normal! Always pay attention to the well-being of the person you are massaging. Facial expression, breathing, involuntary movements, noise in the intestines (often a sign of relaxation) and, of course, sounds and sayings will let you know how to massage. This feedback is important in order to see if we are on the “right path”. The better you master the massage technique through more intense training, the more time will be left to observe the patient.

Possible reactions

Massage liberates, and everything that liberates, sometimes also causes something. Of course, we calm down when, thanks to the massage with precious stones, only relaxation and well-being come. However, sometimes you should first get rid of the burden of worries, which prevents mental balance. Therefore, do not be afraid of groans, sighs, or even crying! Just the massage that causes such reactions often brings the greatest relief. If you notice that a tense facial expression or other signs of malaise appear, then calmly ask what the reason is.

Crying is a positive thing, because it brings relief! Please do not “strangle” him with imaginary consolations. Stay better just "completely here" and make room for it. Allowing yourself to just burst into tears, you can find peace ...

"Good moment"

The so-called "good moment" is an essential rule! Such a “good moment" may well come shortly before the end of the precious stones massage that you originally planned. The man in your arms suddenly begins to sigh, radiate joyfully, perhaps even laugh with relief, and finally enjoy bliss. Is it possible to do something “even better” at this moment? Hardly! Therefore, it is best to stop the massage. Finish the massage of the area you were practicing (for example, the other leg, if you have already massage one leg), but then finish the massage with precious stones. After all, the condition in which you complete the massage will be taken away by your patient or patient. And why should it not be the most beautiful?

If you have already passed through this “good moment”, your patient’s joy disappears and your mood drops sharply again, then after completing any part of the massage you may ask: “Where was the best place?” Often, only memories are enough, and sensations come back again. If this does not happen, then you should ask again: "Do I massage here again?" If the answer is: “Oh yes!”, Then, as a rule, a short massage of this area is quite enough to reproduce the “good moment”. If the answer sounds different: “No, better continue on!”, Then you continue the massage. If you get used to the world of feelings of a person who is doing massage, and mentally stay with him, and when you have doubts, are not afraid to just inquire about his well-being, then you are on the right track to a "good moment".

Finish at a "good moment"

A “good moment” can be quite simply defined as an “improvement over the initial state”. This, of course, in most cases, is far from what was called bliss above! Sometimes these are just small steps that we can take through massage. And yet, every improvement, small or large, is already a success! A “successful moment” has been reached, at any rate, and then, when the massage with precious stones seems to continue indefinitely ...

Gemstone massage completion

1. Being close to the patient, monitoring him and questions about well-being. Clearing the bridge and time for arising needs.

2. Exchange of received energy (if necessary, using imagination).

3. Getting rid of the energy that has accumulated in the air: "Go back to the time of its creation, or be free!"

4. Feedback and talk about massage (only at the request of the patient).

5 A conscious exit from the "role of a massage therapist" and return to life. You should leave or clean the room.

6. Cleaning of precious stones under running water and on amethyst.

Used gems should be cleaned of the energy and information received. To do this, hold them for one minute or longer under running water and rub them firmly with your fingers. You will find that the surface of the stones, which at first seemed somewhat “soapy”, then exerts more resistance, rubbing her finger no longer glides as easily as before. This suggests that the energy received has disappeared. Then remove the stones from the water and place them on a druse or piece of amethyst. Amethyst frees stones from the last "extraneous" information, and in a few hours your gems will again be "fresh and new" - for the next procedure.

Opportunities and boundaries

Please do not massage with precious stones if you are not in shape or in a bad mood! As already mentioned, during the massage, not only our hands, but also our thoughts and moods influence. In such situations, it is better to choose ways in which your influence is not so strong, for example, laying stones. During the massage with precious stones, you should always remain neutral, just watching and doing everything possible for your patient. Also, if you yourself are not ready for massage or the basic conditions are not suitable, do not let persuade you to massage, otherwise there is a danger that the result will be unsatisfactory for both parties.
